I’ve got some really good holy grail products to share with you! Read to learn all about the BEST skin care products.
Are you looking for some skin care products to up your skin care routine? Well, you’re in the right place!
It wasn’t until the COVID-19 pandemic that I got more into skin care. I became obsessed with different skincare content creators, like Hyram and The Style and Beauty Doctor. I don’t know what it was, but I loved watching their videos and trying out the products they recommended. And let me just say, I’m so glad I had that “era” because I now take skin care quite serious.
Over the last few years, I’ve curated the “perfect” skincare routine and I’m excited to share some of the products with you. These are all products that I’ve tried and absolutely love. So, what are you waiting for? Let’s get into these products!
THIS POST IS ALL ABOUT BEST SKIN CARE PRODUCTS.
Best Skin Care Products:
1. Native Body Wash
Alright, we’re going to start with some body skincare products. I like Native’s body washes because they make my skin feel squeaky clean.
Plus, there are tons of scents to choose from. I’m not joking either — if you go on their website, you’ll see a whopping 24 different fragrances. I mean, could it get any better?
You can find Native products in many stores, but I usually like to get mine from either Target or Amazon.
I’d have to say my favorite Native body wash is the Coconut & Vanilla one. I just love a good cononut/vanilla combo and this does it for me every time!
2. eos Lotion
I’ll admit, I don’t really like lotion as much as I used to. I used to lather that stuff all over my skin after a nice, steamy shower.
But, I’ve frankly gotten a little lazy over the years and I don’t want to stand and rub the lotion into my skin for 3 minutes (not that I count it or anything).
So, I’ve resorted to another product that we’ll talk about later in the post. For right now, though, let’s discuss the only lotion recommendation I have: the eos lotion. Specifically the ‘Fresh + Cozy’ scent.
Not being dramatic at all — this lotion smells SO good. I’ve never smelled any lotion that smells that divine (and let me tell you, I’ve tried quite a lot of lotions).
If I ever want to use lotion instead of body oil, this is the product I’ll reach for.
THINK: Do you prefer lotion or body oil? Tell me in the comments!
3. Aquaphor
So, you might know about Aquaphor from TikTok or YouTube. But, I’m proud to say I’ve been using it for years. I really like it as an alternative to Vaseline (petroleum jelly) because it has extra ingredients in it to keep your skin nice and healthy.
4. Johnson’s Baby Creamy Oil
I quickly mentioned body oil just a second ago. But before we move get to that, I have to talk about the Johnson’s Baby Creamy Oil. I was on summer vacation in Virginia in 2022 and I ran out of my body oil.
I tried to get some from Target/Walmart but they were out of stock. So, I tried the Baby Creamy Oil. I was simply obsessed with it. I loved the way it felt on my skin and the long-lasting scent.
5. Dr. Bronner’s Soap
If you know, you know! Dr. Bronner’s soap is probably the best soap to use if you want to get SUPER clean in the shower. And the reason for that is because it’s a castile soap, which has a good rep for giving you a deep clean.
Just like the Native body washes, there’s lots of scents to choose from. I usually get the peppermint one, which… if I must say, gives you quite the experience. We’ll just leave it at that!
It’s going to run you $16.99 for the 32oz. bottle, which might seem like a lot for some body wash. But here’s the thing: it’s not just body wash; it’s a 32-in-1 product. And before you scroll, it’s not like one of those men’s 3-in-1 products (haha) that you want to avoid.
Usually I’d be hesitant to use a product on my skin that can also be used in my hair. But I trust the Dr. Bronner’s soap because of the ingredients.
6. Dove Body Scrub
I definitely don’t use a body scrub as often as I should. I really only use one when I take an infamous “everything shower” which I admittedly don’t do too often, either.
BUT — there’s no body scrub like the Dove body scrub. It’s actually advertised as a “body polish” (whatever that means). Whatever the heck you want to call it, it works SOOO good!
While you can pick from the many different scents, I always recommend the brown sugar & coconut one. It smells divine and the scrub in general makes my skin feel super soft and smooth.
7. Hydrocortisone Ointment
Okay, I know you most likely didn’t expect an ointment to appear on this list. Just stay with me: this ointment works wonders for dark spots and bruises. I get them every now and then, and I always resort to a combination of hydrocortisone ointment and Vaseline.
This combo takes care of little marks on your skin in just a few days! Just make sure you’re consistent with it; otherwise, you won’t get the results you want (or as quickly, for that matter).
I’d suggest getting a prescription instead of the over-the-counter one. I just feel like the prescription one works a lot better.
If you can’t get your hands on a prescription, I’d recommend this hydrocortisone ointment.
8. Degree Deodorant
This might be a little TMI but I get fairly sweaty — especially if I’m wearing a bad deodorant. The only deodorant that works for me is the men’s degree deodorant. There’s different scents and kinds that I like, but the one I always go back to is the Sport one.
I just searched for it on Amazon to get the link and I peeped that I’ve bought it 6 times. And that’s not including all the times I bought it from Target/Walmart, either! I don’t know what the heck it is, but it sure works.
It gets me through the entire day with no stench whatsoever. The other great part is that it’s really affordable and long-lasting. One $5 twin pack lasts me about a month.
9. Gain Detergent
I know what you’re thinking: “How is detergent a skincare product?” Well, it’s actually very much a skincare product because the chemicals in it can affect the health of your skin.
I almost always opt for an unscented detergent (largely because that’s the only kind my siblings and parents can use on their skin). But if I’m feelin’ fancy, I’ll get some good ‘ole Gain detergent. Not only does it smell great, but it also gives me a sense of nostalgia.
My aunt used to use (and still uses) it all the time when she did her laundry and I just couldn’t escape the smell.

10. Nexxus Therapee Shampoo
Another product you may not have expected to show up on this list is shampoo.
What you may not know, though, is that scalp care IS skin care. Your scalp — believe it or not — has a big impact on the health of your skin. So, it’s important to make sure that you regularly take care of your scalp.
I first tried the Nexxus shampoo when I died my hair around October of 2023. I wanted to use a color-treated shampoo so I could maintain the color in my hair. Back then, I used that one — and it worked quite well.
But, I switched to the Therapee one and it works wonders for my scalp. Before I wash my hair, it feels pretty dry, itchy, and tangled. Once I’m done, my hair feels squeaky clean and has a literal shine to it. It really creates a full transformation that I look forward to every week.
11. O’Keefe’s Chapstick
This is slightly embarrassing but I digress: my lips have never been the most moisturized. I’ve tried Vaseline, Aquaphor, and tons of different brands of chapstick for my lips. After a while (and I mean a WHILE), I found the O’Keefe’s chapstick (specifically the unscented version).
When I tell you this product saved my lips! I love it because it really sinks into my lips and gives them a smooth matte look. On top of this, I like to smear a smooth layer of Aquaphor to lock in the moisture from the chapstick.
And just to how much I love it, here’s a screenshot showing the fact that I’ve ordered it a whopping 13 times from Amazon.
No joke — I’ve ordered this 13 times!
Now, I will say the price seems to steadily increase over time. I’m not a huge fan of that, but it lasts long and, like I said, it works great for my lips, so I’m okay with paying for it.
12. Hello Toothpaste
I’ll be the one to say it: I’m not the biggest Crest or Colgate fan. I know they’re affordable and there’s all different types for each individual’s liking. But, I just can’t get with them.
At some point in the last few years, I came across the Hello toothpaste. I tried it and have NEVER gone back to any other toothpaste since then. It’s more of a natural toothpaste and doesn’t have that annoying pasty consistency, which is the biggest pro of it in my opinion.
13. La Roche Posay Moisturizer
I could go on and on about how amazing this product is. But for the sake of keeping this post at a reasonable length, I’ll hold off.
Simply put, this is the best moisturizer I’ve ever used. It makes my skin feel soft and it lasts AT LEAST a month and half.
14. Belif Moisturizer
Another holy grail: the belif True Cream Aqua Bomb. Like the name suggests, it’s totally bomb (haha). While I do like to use my La Roche Posay moisturizer year-round, I find that the belif moisturizer works better during the summer.
It’s much thinner in consistency, which is definitely great for those hotter months. Even though it can get pricey, it’s SO worth it.
15. Johnson’s Body Oil
We’re finally at the product that I’ve been hinting at: the Johnson’s Shea & Cocoa Butter Baby Oil. This is my go-to post-shower moisturizer. I love everything about it: the scent, the smell, the longevity, the consistency — I mean, it really can’t get any better than that.
Oh, and I’ve also bought this product 13 times (just from Amazon alone):
16. Dove Body Wash
I’ve tried lots of body washes from various brands including Aveno, Method, Native, OGX, Olay, Naturium, Neutrogena, and, oh — Dove! Of all these, I always go back to the Dove Sensitive Skin body wash.
I wouldn’t consider my skin sensitive; I just like the way this specific one feels when I’m washing my body. It’s so creamy, smooth, and moisturizing. Sometimes I feel so moisturized to the point where I don’t even need to use my body oil!
17. La Roche Posay Cleanser
Last but certainly not least: the La Roche Posay cleanser. I don’t even need to say much about this. It lathers beautifully and gets my face ultra clean. I’ve tried both the Toleriane cleanser and the Lipikar AP+ one. I think the Lipikar AP+ one is much better because it’s so moisturizing.
But, if you have more oily skin, I think the Toleraine one would be a better pick. No matter which one you choose, I’m sure you and your skin will fall in love with it.
