Struggling to stay happy? Here are 40 reasons to be happy and appreciate life for what it is!
Although I am a personal development blogger by profession, I am in no way a mental health professional. See my disclaimer for more info.
Have you ever reached a point in your life where you felt like you had nothing worth living for? Like there was seemingly nothing to look forward to?
I feel like we all experience this at some point in our lives. I remember feeling this way just a few years ago and, let me just say, it isn’t exactly the best feeling. Especially because I used to be the kind of person who NEEDED something to look forward to every single day.
I mean anything: a new song from my favorite artist, a meal I’ve been craving, hanging out with someone, working on my blog… you name it. Otherwise, I felt like I had, well, nothing to live for. I know that sounds depressing — and it is! — but it’s true.
Thankfully, something shifted along the way of my self-growth journey and I don’t feel this way anymore. Now, if I don’t have much going on, I embrace that. I’ve learned that it’s completely fine to not constantly have something super fun to look forward to.
If you can relate, this post is for you. By the end of this post, I hope you’ll learn about just a HANDFUL of reasons to be happy. In dark times, it can feel hard to find these, so I wanted to remind you of them.
Alright, are you ready? Let’s get straight into it!
