Although I am a personal development blogger by profession, I am in no way a mental health professional. See my disclaimer for more info.

Are you ready? Let’s get into it!
THIS POST IS ALL ABOUT a self care sunday.
What is Self Care Sunday?
Self Care Sunday is a day where you spend the Sunday doing things you love that make you feel happy. For you, this could mean taking a 2-hour bubble bath. For others, this could mean sleeping in. For myself, it usually means scrolling on TikTok for hours and hanging out with my family.
Self care looks different for everybody. I’m going to give you some ideas for Self Care Sunday. It’s going to take some trial and error, but you’ll eventually know what you like to do to feel good inside.
Why you should consider a Self Care Sunday:
There are a few reasons I think it’s beneficial to adopt a Self Care Sunday routine:
1. IT HELPS YOU AVOID THE SUNDAY SCARIES
So, you might know something about the Sunday Scaries. If not, I’ll tell you: the Sunday Scaries is what some people feel at the beginning of a week. It usually involves feelings of anxiety and unpreparedness ahead of a new week.
I used to experience the Sunday Scaries a lot when I was in high school. But now that I’m out of high school and have adopted a healthy weekly self-care routine, I look forward to Sunday more than any other day of the week.
You should definitely consider building yourself an enjoyable Self Care Sunday routine if you feel anxiety at the top of the week. It’ll allow you to actually look forward to a new week rather than being anxious about it.
2. IT GIVES YOU A DAY TO YOURSELF
Most of us really only have 48 hours to ourselves throughout the week. And if your schedule is similar to mine, you might only have half of that.
Having a Self Care Sunday (or even Self Care Saturday or something similar) is so helpful when it comes to scheduling a day specifically for yourself.
3. IT PREPARES YOU FOR THE WEEK
Whether your Self Care Sunday routine consists of relaxing or productive activities, it should ultimately prepare you for the week. I mainly try to relax on Sunday’s and it really helps to set me up for success.
