Self reflection is imperative to your self-growth journey.
At the beginning of your healing journey, you should ask yourself a series of reflection questions. These will help you get some clarity as to what you’re looking to get out of this journey.
You might have no idea where to start, and that’s where I can step in. Keep reading to learn all about self reflection and how it can be truly life-changing!
THIS POST IS ALL ABOUT SELF REFLECTION QUESTIONS.
What is self reflection, and why is it important?
Let’s start with the basics. What is self reflection, and how is it so impactful for your self-growth journey?
Well, self reflection (AKA introspection) is the process of taking time to reflect on different experiences in your life, along with the state of your mental health. Introspection is key to self-growth because it allows you to reflect on your past and current self, and make improvements based on them.
Allow the grammar freak in me to come out for a second: in the word “introspection,” the prefix intro means inward, and the suffix spek means to inspect or observe. Put those together and introspection means to observe yourself (specifically your thoughts, mindset, decisions, and behaviors).
Ideally, self reflection should be something you do throughout your entire life. Even though you’ll never be the BEST version of yourself (if you didn’t already know that, now you know!), you should always strive to become a better version of yourself. We’re ever-changing beings, and introspection is essential to personal growth.
Alright! Now that we’ve covered the basics, it’s time to get into these self reflection questions. You can answer as many or as few as you’d like — it’s your self-growth journey!
Whether you answer them in a journal, in your notes app, or even on simple sheet of paper, I’m sure this process will super helpful.

This journal is my favorite because it includes a section to mark how you’re feeling before you start writing, plus just enough lines to let all your feelings out.
Journaling is absolutely one of my favorite ways to practice emotional/mental self care, and my free daily journal can help you do just that.
