This spring, you absolutely CANNOT resist these spring self care ideas. It’s the best time to practice self care!
Spring is imminent, and I believe that this is the best time to practice self care. The temperature is increasing, birds are chirping, and you’re just surrounded by good vibes.
When spring comes around, I feel a sense of intense motivation and I want to do as much as I can to take care of myself. From having picnics with my family to doing spring cleaning around the house, I definitely take advantage of the beautiful season that is spring.
So, here is a list of 5 Pinterest-worthy spring self care activities you absolutely can’t resist this upcoming spring season.
This post is all about spring self care ideas.
Spring Self Care Ideas:
1. Have a park picnic
I’m not sure about you, but I LOVE a good picnic. I don’t have them too often, but I sure enjoy them when I do.
Having a picnic is one of the cheapest, most fun (and delicious) things you can do in the spring. The best thing is, it doesn’t require a lot of planning.
All you have to do is gather with your friends and/or family, decide what your favorite snacks, drinks, and park are, and boom! You’ve got yourself a picnic.
Try some of these delicious picnic treats:
- Homemade turkey and cheese sandwiches
- Doritos
- Lemonade
- Fruit snacks
- Charcuterie board
- Leftover dinner
- Your favorite fast food lunch
These are just some of the many picnic treats you can enjoy on your next spring picnic. I highly encourage you to gather with your friends/family and head to your local park to have a picnic!
It’s a great time to enjoy the beautiful environment that is nature and get some fresh air.
You can even bring your favorite board games like Monopoly, Apples and Apples, Connect 4, or Uno to get competitive during your picnic.
Don’t forget that you don’t have to go on a picnic with 4 or 5 other people.
If you want to make it a solo date, you can totally do that. Bring your favorite snacks, a comfy blanket, and even a book you’re currently reading.
Snuggle up and stay as long as you desire. By the end of the day, you’ll be happy that you treated yourself to a nice day out.
2. Attend a candle-making session
Candle making classes have become more trendy recently.
I won’t lie; they seem really fun!
During one of these sessions, an instructor takes you throughout the entire process of making your very own candle.
Many times, you even get to personalize it with your own design and/or scent.
This is so cool because your candle is unique to you. You can’t get that in a store like HomeGoods or Yankee Candle!
3. Visit your local museum
You should totally have visiting your local museum on your spring bucket list.
Museums are all over the place, so I’m sure you can find one just for you.
Not to mention, museums are absolutely picture-perfect for your Pinterest boards. Some are free and others aren’t, so just remember that before you make your way to a museum.
When you’re ready to explore, here are some of the best museums to check out:
- The Art Institute of Chicago
- Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History
- National Gallery of Art
- The National 9/11 Memorial & Museum
- Museum of Pop Culture
- The Neon Museum
- Pulitzer Arts Foundation
- The National WWII Museum
- Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
- Center of Science and Industry
4. Have a fun girls’ or boys’ night in
When was the last time you enjoyed a fun night in with your gals or pals?
If you’re having trouble answering that question, it’s probably been too long!
I absolutely love a good sleepover with my friends and cousins. It’s a great time to catch up on life and simply spend time with the people I love the most.
Oh, and not to mention, we get to watch movies and eat delicious snacks.
It seems that planning a sleepover can be quite a HASSLE sometimes.
Here’s a trick: have everyone contribute.
What I mean is, have one person pick a movie to watch, have another person pick dinner, and so on.
That way, everyone will have a say in how the night goes and you won’t be confused by the time the sleepover starts.
Another problem with sleepovers is picking a movie. Trust me, I know this all too well.

5. Do some spring cleaning around your home
Spring is a great time to do some deep cleaning.
You’re feeling highly motivated because the temperature is increasing and you’re feeling good vibes all around.
When you spring clean, you can:
- deep clean your closet
- organize your refrigerator
- declutter your closet
- get rid of old clothes
- buy a new bedding set
- rearrange your bedroom
- redo your desk setup
- organize your pantry
- deep clean your bathroom
- rearrange your living room
- declutter your garage
- remodel your basement
- organize your basement
- clean your attic
- decorate your foyer
Take advantage of this time to get some cleaning, organizing, and decluttering done around your home!
You’ll be so glad once you’re done.
